Detailed Commentary & Meaningful Thoughts
The gunas describe qualities of nature. Yoga-kshema refers to obtaining and maintaining possessions; the verse questions dependence on these, rather than responsible provision itself.
Philosophical Reflection & Self-Inquiry
"Krishna asks Arjuna to loosen the patterns of grasping and opposition."
Inquiry Question to Ponder:
How can responsible planning differ from anxious grasping and guarding?
Modern Life Implementation (Practical Real-Life Application)
Apply this verse when facing identity crisis or fear of failure: distinguish the unchanging inner self from transient life situations, and act with full dedication without anxiety over the final outcome.
