1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Dharma Sangrah (dharmasangrah.in), a digital repository of Sanatan Dharma literature developed and operated by CodingMantra, having its principal office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

By accessing, browsing, reading, or interacting with Dharma Sangrah, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and our associated Privacy Policy and Content Disclaimer. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of this site.

2. Purpose and Character of the Service

Dharma Sangrah is created as a non-commercial, cultural, educational, and devotional service. Its fundamental objective is to make the profound wisdom of Hindu scriptures, such as the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Puranas, Aartis, Chalisas, and Stutis, universally accessible in clean Devanagari, Gujarati, and English formats.

We do not sell spiritual access, nor do we require paywalls or mandatory subscriptions for spiritual contemplation. To ensure platform stability, prevent service degradation, and understand readership trends, we collect anonymous, privacy-respecting telemetry through Google Analytics for Firebase in strict adherence to our Privacy Policy. No personal data is monetized or shared with third-party advertisers.

3. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

We clearly distinguish between ancient public-domain scripture and our proprietary editorial work:

  • Ancient Scriptural Verses: Original Sanskrit shlokas, Vedic mantras, and traditional devotional lyrics are part of the timeless public domain and cultural heritage of humanity. No copyright is claimed over the primary ancient verses themselves.
  • Proprietary Editorial & Derivative Works: All modern translations, word-by-word commentaries, philosophical analyses, everyday life applications, structured storytelling, curated artwork, software source code, visual typography, and site architecture are the intellectual property of Dharma Sangrah / CodingMantra, protected under Indian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

4. Permitted Use & User License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to access and read content from Dharma Sangrah under the following conditions:

  • Personal Devotion & Study: You may freely read, print, and recite verses for individual spiritual practice, family prayers, temple study circles, or classroom education.
  • Local-First Preferences: You may personalize your experience (language selection, font sizing, bookmarks, and sadhana reflections). These preferences remain in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are under your sovereign control.
  • Fair Attribution: You may share excerpts, quotes, and verses on social media or in personal writings provided you provide clear attribution and a link back to Dharma Sangrah (dharmasangrah.in).

5. Prohibited Activities

To safeguard the integrity and spiritual sanctity of the library, users agree NOT to:

  • Use automated scripts, web crawlers, bots, or scrapers to extract or mass-download our proprietary translations, database records, or commentaries without prior express written permission.
  • Republish our translations or editorial content in commercial products, monetized applications, or paid printed works without licensing consent.
  • Engage in any denial-of-service, vulnerability probing, or activities that compromise server infrastructure, databases, or user security.
  • Submit abusive, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent messages through our contact or contribution forms.
  • Misattribute modified or fabricated texts as authentic Vedic scriptures.

6. Community Feedback and Contributions

We welcome community suggestions, textual corrections, typo alerts, and scriptural insights from scholars and devotees. By submitting feedback or suggested corrections, you grant Dharma Sangrah an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual license to incorporate, adapt, and publish such contributions for the betterment of the open library.

7. External Links and Media Services

Our library may reference external audio, classical music videos, or third-party academic resources. We do not endorse or exercise editorial control over third-party platforms. Your interaction with external sites is governed by those third parties' respective terms and conditions.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Dharma Sangrah is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. While our editorial team strives for meticulous fidelity to ancient manuscripts, we do not warrant that the service will be entirely error-free, uninterrupted, or immune from technical downtime.
